Police are on the hunt for a thief who assaulted a cyclist and stole his bike.
The 23-year-old was pushing his BMX bikeĀ along Dundee’s Princes Street in the early hours of Saturday when he was approached by a man who struck up conversation before assaulting him.
The thief was then spotted cycling the stolen bike in the direction of Arbroath Road towards the Douglas area of the city at around 1am.
Despite the robbery, the victim was left uninjured following the incident.
The bike is described as a Mongoose BMX Pedal Cycle. It is white in colour with a sticker on the frame and has black handlebars.
