Police are renewing their efforts to trace an absconder from Castle Huntly prison. Mark Chung, 41, has been missing for more than two weeks. Chung was first reported to have disappeared at 10am on Monday October 3. It is believed he has connections in the Glasgow and Merseyside areas. Chung has convictions for robbery and for smuggling drugs into prison in Liverpool. In 2006, Chung escaped from a prison in Nottinghamshire by hiding on a waste collection lorry. He was spotted jumping from the back of the lorry as it pulled into an industrial estate in Worksop. Chung is described as 5 ft 9 tall, stocky build with a shaved head. He speaks with a Merseyside accent. When last seen he was wearing glasses, a grey sweatshirt, grey jogging bottoms and black and grey trainers. If seen, members of the public should not approach Chung and should contact Police Scotland on 101. Anyone wishing to provide information anonymously can do so through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Meanwhile, David Arthur, who had also absconded from the prison, was traced on Thursday.
