A Bridge of Allan sports massage clinic has announced its closure.
Death’s Door on Henderson Street will shut on May 6.
However, owners Lauren Rees and James Bremner say they are looking for a new location in Bridge of Allan.
In a social media post, the pair said they “love the community and growing support” in the spa town.
The original Death’s Door location in Auchterarder will remain open, with therapists from Bridge of Allan clinic working from the Perthshire town instead.
And Ms Rees and Mr Bremner have plans to transform a former Auchterarder boutique into “Scotland’s first luxury social wellness spa”.
Set to open in May, the new premises will include a gym, custom-made sauna and outdoor chill area, ice baths, an events space, and studios for yoga and other classes.
Owners ‘eternally grateful’ for support
A post on Death’s Door Performance Club’s Facebook page said: “As we welcome in the highly anticipated opening of the expanded Auchterarder clinic mid-May, our deadly doors at Bridge of Allan will close on the 6th of May.
“Until we find a standalone space in Bridge of Allan that welcomes our clients with the same love that radiates out of the O.G Auchterarder Clinic, we’d like to preserve the environment that we’ve worked so hard to build and keep it harmonised.
“We’re on a keen lookout for something more suitable on the High Streets of Bridge of Allan so do fire us a message if you hear of anything.
“We absolutely LOVE the community and growing support from the local BOFA businesses that we’ve nestled with this 24/25 year!
“We’re eternally grateful for all the love and support we’ve had whilst navigating the transition, and so glad to see so many of you keen for the new upcoming space.”
Two years in business for Death’s Door
Death’s Door opened in Auchterarder during 2023.
The owners’ business journey started in New Zealand, where Ms Rees had launched her first Death’s Door sports massage clinic and Mr Bremner was travelling on a break from his job as a Polmont prison officer.
The business expanded to Bridge of Allan in 2024.
Fans of the clinic include Judy Murray, who recommended Death’s Door to her followers on social media.
Elsewhere in the spa town, a new tenant is being sought for a historic former pub and restaurant.
