Dundee have been drawn against Ayr United in the second round of the Betfred Cup.
The Dark Blues qualified from Group D as one of the four best runners-up behind Dunfermline and will now face Ian McCall’s Championship new boys at Dens.
The Pars have been rewarded for winning all four of their matches in the group with a home tie at East End Park against Hearts, who thumped Inverness 5-0 at Tynecastle yesterday.
St Johnstone, who also topped their group, face a tricky trip to Palmerston to play another Championship side Queen of the South.
The other ties are: Livingston V Motherwell, Kilmarnock v Rangers, Aberdeen v St Mirren, Partick Thistle v Celtic and Hibs v Ross County.
The games will be played on the weekend of August 18/19.
