An Angus pensioner is facing a dangerous driving charge alleging he crashed into another vehicle in a one-way street.
Dennis Noble, 76, of Hospitalfield Road, Arbroath, is alleged to have gone the wrong way down a one-way street at Balmachie Road, Carnoustie, on April 29 this year, colliding with a car being driven by another man, causing injury to a female passenger in the other car and damage to both vehicles.
A previous letter plea of guilty was not accepted in light of the explanation he gave to the court.
Noble was not in court when the case called before Sheriff Gregor Murray at Forfar yesterday and the matter was continued until January 7.
