A schoolgirl was taken to hospital after being hit by a car on a busy Angus road.
The 12-year-old was struck by the vehicle on Ferry Road, Monifieth, at about 2pm on Monday.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene, with one lane said to have been blocked.
The accident took place close to the bridge across the Dighty Water.
The girl is not believed to have suffered serious injuries but was taken to hospital as a precaution.
A police spokeswoman said: “We were called just before 2pm yesterday (Monday). A 12-year-old girl was involved with a collision with a car. Ambulance attended.
“She was taken to hospital as a precaution.”
