A female Angus pub fighter who pulled out clumps of hair in a row with a mother and daughter has been fined by a sheriff.
Lisa McCagh was drinking in Arbroath’s Central Bar on the evening of December 1 last year when a verbal fall-out with other drinkers descended into violence.
Depute fiscal Jill Drummond told Forfar Sheriff Court three friends were drinking in the pub at around 7pm, and McCagh was also there, under the influence at the time.
Two of the other women headed outside for a cigarette and there was a verbal argument with the 36-year-old accused at that time.
One of the complainers intervened in the argument and McCagh grabbed her hair and punched her.
The woman’s mother saw her daughter being held by the accused and she also stepped in, but was also grabbed by the hair.
Bar staff then broke up the fight.
Defence solicitor Billy Rennie said: “She doesn’t remember much about it and has no explanation for the argument.”
McCagh, of Newton Crescent, Arbroath, admitted two charges of assault and was fined £350 by Sheriff Gregor Murray.
