Emergency services rushed to the scene of a fire at a youth residential facility in Angus this evening.
The blaze broke out at Rossie Young People’s Trust near Montrose at around 6.35pm on Friday.
Residents were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene as a precaution following the fire.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) sent three appliances to tackle the blaze with the police and ambulance service also on site.
An SFRS spokesperson said: “We were called to a building fire at Rossie Young People Trust.
“We sent three appliances and it has now been left in the hands of the police and ambulance service.
“The fire has been extinguished.”
Police Scotland say they are not treating the incident as suspicious.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We received the call around 6.35pm to a small fire.
“The ambulance service were on the scene and treating people for smoke inhalation as a precaution.
“Officers have now left the scene.”
