A man is being treated for a serious injury in Ninewells Hospital after being rescued from a factory building in Kirriemuir.
Police closed Marywell Brae, near the J&D Wilkie factory, after 6pm on Sunday evening after reports of a man inside the building.
Firefighters attended the scene and deployed a 13.5 metre ladder in the rescue, before using oxygen, and passing the injured man to waiting paramedics.
The ambulance transported him to Ninewell’s Hospital, where he was treated for a serious leg injury.
A police spokesman said: “A man was rescued from a window by emergency services at factory premises in Marywell Brae, Kirriemuir.
“He was taken to Ninewells Hospital where he is being treated for a serious leg injury.
A Scottish fire and rescue spokeswoman said one appliance had been sent to the incident.
“We received the call at 17:58. We worked with Scottish Ambulance Service colleagues. One male casualty was removed from the scene,” she added.
