A poorly cat has been found wandering in an Angus street.
The animal is now in the care of the Scottish SPCA at their Angus, Fife and Tayside Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre at Petterden, between Dundee and Forfar.
A member of the public found the cat on Alexander Gordon Drive, Monifieth on Sunday.
Centre manager, Elliot Hay said: “One of our animal rescue officers collected the black cat and brought him to us.
“He was in a poor condition. His fur was badly matted but the person who found him had cut most of it off by the time we arrived.
“He is neutered but not microchipped. He’s an older adult.
“We are keen to trace the owner as soon as possible.
“We would urge anyone who recognises the cat to contact our animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
