A “loving” Mearns grandfather has been named as the victim of a fatal accident on the region’s busiest road.
Eric Douglas died at the scene in the crash involving his white Kia Rio on the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road near Lumgair on Friday.
His family say the 80-year-old, from the Stonehaven area, will be “greatly missed”.
The tribute reads: “Eric was a loving father, grandfather and friend to many who was well known in the local community. We are deeply saddened by his death and he will be greatly missed.
“As a family we respectfully ask for privacy at this difficult time.”
