A 34-year-old takeaway worker has admitted attacking emergency services workers while he was “extremely intoxicated”.
Jamie Chambers-Nicolson hurled abuse at police and paramedics in a police vehicle between Kirriemuir and Forfar, in an ambulance and at Forfar and Dundee police stations on Sunday. He also kicked an officer on the body and spat on his head at the Dundee HQ.
At Forfar Sheriff Court, Sheriff Derek Reekie told Chambers-Nicolson, of Dundee Loan, Forfar: “This is a serious offence, particularly assaulting a police officer in the course of his duties.”
Sentence was deferred until February 27 for a background report and tagging assessment.
