A man in his 40s suffered facial and head injuries after allegedly being attacked two younger men with metal poles in Forfar.
The incident took place on February 4 in Green Street car park at around 5.30pm near the junction with Canmore Street.
Police say the man was lucky to escape with only minor injuries.
The first suspect is described as white, 18-20 years of age, about 5ft 8 and medium build and wearing a black hooded top and black Ellesse jogging bottoms.
The second suspect is also described as aged 18-20, about 5ft 10, medium build and wearing black clothing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please call 101 or speak with any police officer.
“Also, information can be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. Our reference is incident 3081 of 4th February.”
