Police have charged two men with more than 15 alleged offences of hare coursing across the district in a six-month period.
The pair, aged 39 and 48, are expected to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court at a later date.
A Police Scotland statement said the charges related to 16 alleged offences in the Arbroath, Friockheim, Memus and Montrose areas between June and December last year.
A spokesman urged anyone with information on hare coursing to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
The latest charges follow Police Scotland confirmation last month of five men being charged in connection with the practice.
Police say they were arrested in connection with the bloodsport in Menmuir on Sunday February 2.
The five, from Aberdeen and Macduff , were aged 23, 26, 39, 49 and 52.
They were released from custody and are also due to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court at a future date.
The 49-year-old man has also been charged in connection with a road traffic offence.
