Fire crews have rushed to put out a large grass fire in a popular Angus walking spot.
The blaze, at Kinpurney Hill near Newtyle, took hold just after 1pm with nine crews sent out to tackle it.
The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service (SFRS) said the fire reportedly started on grass in open land.
By 4.30pm, the fire had been partially extinguished but a spokesperson for SFRS said it would likely be “some time” before it was made safe.
