A child protection investigation centred on an Angus nursery is continuing during the pandemic.
Lily Pond private nursery closed suddenly in February following the suspension of four staff there.
The nursery is based in part of the former Ladyloan school building near Arbroath seafront.
Parents were shocked by the sudden closure of the facility, following what were believed to be concerns raised in the weeks leading up to the announcement.
Operators said the suspension of four staff had meant it was not sustainable to continue to operate the nursery.
The nursery remains closed and no-one was available for comment.
It is understood no-one has been arrested or charged in connection with the inquiry at this stage.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said enquiries into the matter “remain ongoing”.
