Idle hands in Forfar have been kept busy making bags for frontline health workers in which they can store their uniforms.
Members of the town’s Inner Wheel Club have been clearing out their linen cupboards but rather than waste the old material, they have been turning sheets, duvets and pillowcases into scrub bags for local carers.
The bags are used to allow staff to safely take home their scrubs to be washed.
More than 300 bags have been made and distributed to Angus care homes and Stracathro Hospital.
The club has also split a £1,000 donation between Voluntary Action Angus, Forfar Rotary Initiative, which is providing face masks across the community, and Rachel House children’s hospice in Kinross.
