Police are appealing for witnesses of a car crash in Angus on Sunday to come forward following the death of one of the drivers.
Officers are seeking anyone with information regarding a two vehicle road traffic crash which happened in the town’s Ferry Road.
The collision happened at around 1.30pm and involved a black Renault Clio and a silver Reliant Scimitar.
Both vehicles collided at the street’s junction with Bank Street and police are asking anyone in the area at the time to bring forward dashcam footage.
The driver of the Scimitar was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital, where the following day he sadly died. The driver of the Clio car escaped from the crash uninjured.
Sergeant Gordon Dickson of Tayside Road Policing Unit said: “An investigation into the cause of this collision is now underway and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed it to call police on the 101 number, quoting the reference number 2076 of 21 June 2020.
“I would also ask anyone who may have been in a vehicle fitted with a dashcam, on Ferry Road or Bank Street at that time to examine their device to establish if they may have captured any footage which might assist us in this investigation.”
