A person has been taken to hospital after falling from cliffs near Arbroath.
Emergency services were called to a location around one mile north of the town at 6.10pm.
The all-weather and inshore lifeboats from Arbroath were launched and rescued the casualty.
The RNLI crew conveyed the person back to the lifeboat station, where they were handed into the care of paramedics from the Scottish ambulance Service.
No details of the casualty have been released, but it’s understood they suffered leg injuries.
