A coronavirus test at a council-run Angus care home has proved negative.
The case was under investigation at Seaton Grove in Arbroath on Wednesday.
The revelation was made to members of Angus Integration Joint Board during a remote meeting on Wednesday afternoon when councillor Bob Myles appeared to be given confirmation of a positive test.
Officials said it was picked up as part of the normal testing regime at the facility.
A positive test had been recorded at Seaton Grove in Arbroath on Wednesday as part of the routine testing programme there, but it is understood the follow-up test on the individual returned a negative result.
Seaton Grove, which can accommodate 48 users, celebrated its 30th anniversary at the end of last year after being saved from the axe months earlier.
It had been considered for closure after health chiefs said it would need at seven-figure investment to bring it up to scratch.
Privatisation or a third sector transfer were considered as options, but following a campaign to save the home it was decided to retain the unit and convert one wing there into a mental health facility for older people.
