Tayside Health Fund has netted a four-figure boost for its Covid-19 effort through the generosity of Angus anglers.
The £1,610 total was delivered by 16 regulars of Geordie’s Pond fishery, which sits a few miles north of Arbroath.
Jim Adamson, who runs the fishery, said: “We have regulars, mainly retired, from the likes of Brechin, Forfar, Dundee Carnoustie and Laurencekirk.
“When we opened back up again after lockdown they said they were keen to try and raise some money after seeing some other fisheries do the same, so we had a fundraising day.
“We supplied lunch and they asked friends and family to support the event, which was a chance for them to get together, socially distanced, and have a bit of banter.”
