On June 10 and 12 the Ruthven Music Festival will join in with the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations with two classical music concerts entitled Happy and Glorious.
The festival opens on Friday June 10 with a concert by the highly-regarded Ruthven Players, conducted by Howard Duthie.
This concert will include music by Charpentier, Corelli, Grieg and Gershwin and there will also be performances by Perth choir Chansons.
The Festival’s second concert will take place on Sunday June 12 and will feature the Ruthven Players, conducted by Allan Young, performing music by Handel, Bargiel, Parry and Haydn.
Both concerts start with a wine reception while the concert on Sunday afternoon concludes with strawberries and cream in the beautiful grounds around Ruthven’s former church, which is on the banks of the River Isla.
Booking opens on May 1 with tickets £20 for each concert.
