Police have asked for the Angus public’s help in tracing witnesses who may have seen a late-night assault.
One person was left with a head injury after the alleged attack in Monifieth on Friday night.
And local officers would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the vicinity of High Street around 10pm.
A spokesman said: “Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses to an assault which happened in High Street, Monifieth, near to the Yummy Express Takeaway about 10:10pm on Friday the 22nd of April 2016.
“The victim sustained a head injury.
“Anyone with any knowledge of this assault or who may have witnessed the assault is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 or speak to any police officer.”
