A body has been found in the search for a missing Angus teenager.
Police Scotland had launched an urgent appeal after concerns were raised about the welfare of 16-year-old Andrew Benjamin Baird over the weekend.
He had last been seen in the area of Forfar’s Reid Park around 4.30pm on Saturday.
Police Scotland confirmed a body had subsequently been discovered on Sunday morning during the search for the teenager.
A spokesman said: “His next of kin has been made aware.
“There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
