A BMW driver who attacked a man on an Angus street is being sought by police.
The man, described as in his 40s, is said to have exited the vehicle and punched the 41-year-old in the face on North Esk Road, Montrose, at about 4pm on Tuesday.
The attacker was wearing a black jacket. The BMW he was driving is described as dark-coloured.
His victim was left with an injury to his face.
A Tayside Police Division statement reads: “We are appealing for information about an alleged assault which happened about 4pm yesterday in North Esk Road, Montrose.
“A 41-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by the driver of a dark coloured BMW, who got out of his car and punched the complainer, causing a facial injury.
“He is described as in his 40s and was wearing a black jacket at the time.
“If you have any information that could assist us, please call 101 or speak with any police officer.
“Also, information can be given anonymously through CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is incident 2351 of October 6.”
