Arbroath firefighters were called to a town charity shop this afternoon.
The alarm was raised just after midday when an electric heater at the High Street branch of Shelter caught fire.
Staff at the premises dealt with the incident prior to the arrival of local firefighters.
No-one was injured in the incident and the shop quickly reopened.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirmed that the fire had been dealt with prior to their arrival.
