A man has been charged by police after a road incident which caused a car to catch fire.
Emergency serviced raced to the scene at Drumsturdy Road, near Newbigging, on Saturday morning after a car caught alight.
A police spokeswoman said: “A 46-year old man has been charged with road traffic offences after a crash on Drumsturdy Road on Saturday October 10.
“A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and he is expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court at a later date.”
A fire service spokeswoman said: “We were called yesterday (Saturday October 10) to Drumsturdy Road at 10.33am. One car was alight and it was extinguished using one hose reel jet from Kingsway Fire Station.
“The stop message came in at 11.17am.”
