Brechin’s River Street and Witchden Road opened as the multi-million pound flood prevention scheme by the River South Esk continues.
East Mill Road is scheduled to close in the middle of next week until mid-June so that drainage works associated with the flood prevention scheme can be completed.
While this work takes place, East Mill Road will be resurfaced from Brechin Bridge up to and including the junction with Mitchell Drive.
As a result there will be no access to Brechin Bridge from East Mill Road during this closure.
However, access will be maintained to local properties as will pedestrian access to River Street.
