Travellers pitched up in a quiet residential area of Forfar for almost a fortnight have been evicted.
But residents in another part of the town are now up in arms after some moved in on other open space beside a playpark and football pitches which are due to host games this weekend.
Angus Council confirmed a previously granted decree for eviction of the group at Threewells Drive was enforced today.
A fence was being erected around the area which had been labelled a “fortress” by nearby residents.since more than 15 caravans moved into the playpark at Threewells Drive almost a fortnight ago.
Since then there have been claims of anti-social behaviour, aggressive dogs and human waste being left around the playpark.
Some of the group have now moved to the east of Forfar at St Margaret’s Park.
