The sun shone on an annual charity event in memory of a Forfar Academy pupil on Sunday.
Laura Forbes died after a battle against cancer in 2013, one week after her 16th birthday.
He friends created Laura’s Fun Day as a means of making joy from grief, and the event has been held at Murton Nature Reserve every year since her death.
This year, three charities will benefit from the funds raised.
Calum’s Cabin in Bute provides respite accommodation for children suffering from cancer and their families — the Forbes family spent time there.
Popular Forfar Academy teacher Malcolm Dowie is facing motor neurone disease and the second charity to benefit is MND Scotland.
S6 pupil Theo Droog died after a severe asthma attack this year, and money will also go towards Ward 29 Paediatric at Ninewells Hospital.
Euan Gow, principal teacher of pupil care and support at Forfar Academy, said: “All three charities this year support causes which are close to the hearts of the people of Forfar, and of Forfar Academy staff and pupils, past and present.”
