The Kirriemuir and Dean Area Partnership is appealing to local businesses and community groups to help secure the future of the town’s Christmas lights display.
Due to budget cuts the council won’t be funding any displays in Angus this year and the partnership has been looking at various different options for the installation and maintenance of the lights.
They have urged the community to come forward and help or there will be no display this year.
Any groups or individuals that feel they might be able to help, either through sponsorship, volunteering or fundraising ideas, are encouraged to come along to a public meeting in Kirrie Connections (the old ACCESS office at the Square in Kirriemuir) on Wednesday June 8 at 7.30pm.
Anyone who can’t attend the meeting but would like to help should email graham@dd8music.com.
