A Mearns man has been named as the tragic driver crushed by a lorry in Aberdeen.
Graham Forsyth, from Stonehaven, was killed by a reversing heavy goods vehicle on an industrial estate in the city’s Altens area on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to Colin Lawson Transport following the incident at 11.30am but Mr Forsyth was pronounced dead at the scene.
A probe has been launched into the 57-year-old’s death, involving the Health and Safety Executive.
An HSE spokeswoman said: “I can confirm HSE are aware of the incident and assisting Police Scotland, who are leading the investigation.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland was informed of an incident at an industrial site in the Altens area of Aberdeen at around 11.30am yesterday where it had been reported that a man was injured.
“Sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Inquiries are at an early stage and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has been informed.
“No further details are available at this time.”
