Children, parents and staff were treated to performances of Alice in Wonderland, Little Red Riding Hood and Pinocchio at the Tayside Children’s Hospital.
Starlight Children’s Foundation is taking the stories performed by the Panto Company on the road and over the course of its eight-week tour will visit 92 hospitals and hospices across the UK.
Starlight Children’s Foundation visited the in-patients at Ninewells in Dundee and entertained children and their parents to a “magical” performance.
The actors played out the stories of popular favourites Alice in Wonderland, Little Red Riding Hood, and Pinocchio.
Every year, Starlight provides entertainment to children in hospital and the Starlight panto will give sick children the chance to laugh and cheer without leaving a hospital ward.
Una Paton, senior play specialist at the hospital, said: “Entertainment and play can improve a child’s hospital experience by providing a welcome distraction from their illness and treatment.
“It was really lovely to see the children from ward 29 and the paediatric out-patient clinic enjoying the show.
“Starlight is a fantastic charity and each year we look forward to the arrival of the Starlight Foundation performances that bring fun and laughter to our young patients.”
