A shoplifter with expensive tastes has admitted swiping a bottle of fizz from a local store.
Fern Fairweather, 25, of Burnett Drive in Arbroath, was seen by witnesses and caught on CCTV walking out of the Mayfield Co-op on January 23 with the £34.99 bottle of Champagne.
Forfar Sheriff Court was told Fairweather is currently on a high tariff deferred sentence and receiving support for drug difficulties. She will return to court on June 30
Also at Forfar: James Pow, Meikle Mill, Brechin, was placed on a high tariff deferred sentence for four weeks after admitting offences including drugs matters and being found in the Station Hotel, Carnoustie, in March without authority.
