A man has been remanded in custody by an Angus sheriff.
Peter Williamson, 39, Annat Road, Montrose, appeared on vandalism and theft charges.
He admitted smashing a rear door window and two living room windows at a property at his home on May 22 in Strachan Street, Arbroath.
He further admitted stealing a handbag and its contents at Cancer Research UK, High Street, Montrose on June 1, while on bail, and stealing two jackets from New Look in the same street on the same date.
Describing the handbag theft as “a mean offence”, Sheriff Gregor Murray remanded Williamson in custody for a total of six months.
