A 29-year-old man has been arrested following an accident on the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road.
At about 8.30am on Tuesday, police were alerted to reports of a two-vehicle crash involving a van and a car between Laurencekirk and Brechin at North Water Bridge.
The driver of the van has been arrested. Meanwhile, the driver of the car was treated by paramedics at the scene.
A police spokesman said: “We received report of a two-vehicle crash, involving a car and a van, on the A90 southbound at North Water Bridge at about 8.30am on Tuesday, November 16.
“The 29-year-old male driver of the van has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences. The female driver of the car was treated by paramedics at the scene.”
It is understood that the southbound carriageway was fully closed, however, both lanes were reopened at about 9.14am.
