The Bell Rock Music Festival is hitting all the right notes in Arbroath.
The new style festival – previously known as the Bell Rock Blues Festival – was adapted to include a more diverse range of music genres.
The three-day extravaganza got under way on Friday including Run For Cover at the West Port and Dr Brown and The Groove Cats at the Commercial.
Pubs where gigs are taking place this weekend include the Anchor Bar, the Commercial, the Foundry, the Newgate, the Pageant, the Station and the West Port.
The Foundry Bar Players will perform on Sunday as part of the festival which will also mark 40 years since the band was born.
‘The Foondry’ as the locals call it, is still a popular gathering place for musicians, and many of the regular session players take a turn in the band.
