A woman has been taken to hospital following a car accident in Angus.
The woman, who is thought to have been elderly, was injured in the middle of an Arbroath street and her injuries are thought to be serious.
Police have closed Keptie Street near its junction with Helen Street and it is understood a black van is part of investigations.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “There was a road traffic collision at 3.26pm on Keptie Road in Arbroath.
“A pedestrian has been struck by a vehicle.
“Officers are there at the moment and the individual is being taken by ambulance to Ninewells.
“Her injuries are thought to be serious.
“The road is expected to closed for some time.”
