A 30-year-old man has been arrested after two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle towing a trailer in Forfar.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Arbroath Road’s junction with Montrose Road at around 11.15am on Monday.
Police say the two female pedestrians were checked over by paramedics at the scene and are not believed to have received any life-threatening injuries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed a 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences.
Police launch probe into incident
Officers are currently carrying out investigations into how the incident occurred.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 11.15am on Monday January 17 2022, police received a report of two pedestrians having been struck by a car towing a trailer in Arbroath Road at the junction with Montrose Road, Forfar.
“The two female pedestrians were assessed by ambulance staff at the scene and their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
“A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences.
“Police inquiries continue to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.”
