Police have mounted a hunt for thieves who made off with a four-figure jewellery and cash haul from a house in Arbroath.
The Bellevue Gardens raid was one of two in the town which happened towards the end of last week.
Police Scotland said that around £4,000 worth of jewellery, including cufflinks, gold and pearl pendants, gold chains, gold earrings, engagement and wedding rings were stolen from a house in Bellevue Gardens, Arbroath, along with a three-figure sum of cash.
The theft happened sometime between 3.30pm on Thursday and 6pm on Saturday.
In Bishoploch Road, a house was broken into and a pearl necklace stolen sometime between 1pm and 9pm on Thursday.
It is not known if the two crimes are linked.
“Anyone who has information that could assist officers with their enquiries into these crimes should contact Police Scotland on 101,” said the spokesman.
“Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
