All hail the ale!
Montrose Town Hall was transformed into a Bavarian beer tavern over the weekend.
MoFest, in association with Burnside Brewery, organised Okmoberfest which featured a number of craft brews from around 10 different breweries; a dedicated gin, vodka and proseco bar; and specialist ciders.
Breweries included Burnside, 6 Deg North, Deeside, Lerwick, Lions Lair, Park Brew and Windswept, with 30 craft beers on offer and an emphasis on continental styles.
The sessions were also offering a selection of German street food handmade to order courtesy of the Pavilion Café such as fresh pretzels, lemon and thyme pork schnitzel, Kasespatzle and Bratwurst.
MoFest chairman David Paton said they were keen to keep momentum going in the fundraising stakes, especially with the music festival’s 10th year coming up in 2017.
Beers included Burnside’s own Hesse-Weissbier, Raspberry Wiess, Wild Rhino and MoBest Gold and Dark.
Entertainment kicked off on the Friday evening with Nick Mercer Jr, front man of the band Sergeant, followed by Two Wheels Good.
Saturday afternoon brought some old-time songs, skiffle, blues, and more, with the Moonshiners followed in the evening by A Right Couple o’ Charlie’s, before the Brothers Reid closed proceedings.
Sunday was a more relaxed affair for those wanting a chance to grab the last of the beers that were on offer.
