Road traffic accident closes A933 southbound at Friockheim

A two vehicle collision has caused chaos on the road between Arbroath and Brechin on Friday night.

Two people who had been in the cars involved were taken to hospital following the crash.

They were treated for minor injuries at Ninewells.

The A933 has been closed southbound between the A932 junction and the Leysmill junction, because of the accident.

Tailbacks were reported for over an hour as police handled the incident, which occurred near Friockheim in the late evening.

Police are now working to clear the vehicles from the road.
