Six candidates will stand in the Angus Council by-election for the Arbroath East and Lunan.
The by-election is as a result of the resignation of Councillor Bob Spink who has stood down for health reasons.
The candidates are: Brenda Durno (Scottish National Party), Richard Stanley Moore (Scottish Liberal Democrats), John Ruddy (Scottish Labour Party), Kevin Smith (Independent), Lois Elizabeth Speed (Independent) and Derek Wann (Conservative and Unionist).
Polling will take place between 7am and 10pm on Monday November 28.
While elections are normally held on a Thursday, the returning officer felt it practical to take advantage of the school in-service day on that date.
