A further three boys have been charged in connection with the fire that destroyed a former primary school in Forfar last weekend.
A pair of 12-year-old boys were charged last week over the inferno which ravaged Forfar’s former Wellbrae primary school.
Today Police Scotland said a further three children – two 11-year-olds and another 12-year-old – had been charged in connection with the fire.
A report will be sent to the Youth Justice Assessor for consideration.
Fire crews from across Angus and Dundee tackled the ferocious blaze after the alarm was raised just before 7pm on Saturday October 22.
Flames shot around 30 feet through the roof of the school, which was closed in 2008 after being replaced by Whitehills Primary as part of Angus Council’s Forfar schools programme.
