Angus Council has announced the five candidates for the Carnoustie by-election next month.
The by-election is being held following the death of Provost Helen Oswald last month.
The candidates are David Cheape (Independent), Mark McDonald (Scottish National Party), Beth Morrison (Scottish Liberal Democrats), Derek Shaw (Scottish Conservative & Unionist) and Ray Strachan (Scottish Labour Party).
Polling will take place between 7am and 10pm on Monday December 5.
Only people aged 16 or over on the day of the poll who are registered to vote and living within the ward are eligible to vote.
For voters who are not registered – applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) at Ravenswood, New Road, Forfar, DD8 2ZA, by Wednesday 16 November.
