Police have taken a person into custody following an Angus clifftop drama on Monday.
The RNLI were scrambled to attend the incident between Arbroath and Auchmithie, at Dickmont’s Den, a popular viewpoint on the North Sea.
An HM Coastguard spokesman said: “Police Scotland requested our assistance after reports of a person standing on the cliffs near the blowhole at Dickmont’s Den at 4pm.
“Both inshore and all-weather lifeboats were sent out, but by the time they arrived the person had been taken into police custody.”
