Police in Angus were called to a report of a fight breaking out in Forfar on Hogmanay.
Officers attended at Boyle Park at around 10.45pm but a spokesman said no further action is likely to be taken.
The police spokesman said: “We received a report of a group of young males fighting in the park near Lowson Avenue.
“The report said there were about a dozen people involved in two groups.
“Police attended and the youths ran off. We managed to trace some of them.

“Apparently it was a group of children who had fallen out with each other.
“Most had left the area by the time of our arrival.
“No complaints were made and nobody was injured.”
