Hundreds of pounds’ worth of vapes have been stolen during a break-in at a shop in Carnoustie.
Two men forced their way into Nickel & Dime on Carnoustie High Street early on Wednesday.
They made off with an estimated £400-500 worth of disposable vapes after kicking in the door just after 4am.
A staff member at the shop told The Courier minimal damage was done and the store remains open.
He said: “They took off with disposable vapes.
“They kicked the front door in. There’s glass on the shop floor but no other damage.”
Men ran off towards hotel
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “About 4.05am on Wednesday, shop premises Nickel & Dime, High Street, Carnoustie were subject to a break in whereby two males smashed the front door of premises and stole property from within.
“The two males were seen to make off in the direction of the Aboukir Hotel.
“Police are appealing for any witnesses or members of the public who may have private CCTV in the area to contact police on 101 quoting incident 491 of July 20 2022 or alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous”.
