Two people have been rescued from their vehicles following a crash on an Angus road.
Emergency services were alerted to the two vehicle crash on the B9113 between Forfar and Montrose just after quarter past six on Monday evening.
Two Scottish Fire and Rescue appliances from Forfar, police and an ambulance all attended the scene of the accident.
One driver was cut out of his car before a female motorist was removed by fire fighters using hydraulic cutting gear.
It’s understood both drivers suffered minor injuries.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirmed: “We received the call at 6.17pm to report a two car road traffic collision.
“One occupant was removed from their vehicle before our arrival.
“A female was then released from her vehicle using hydraulic cutting gear.
“The stop message was received at 6.58pm.”
