Families had a blast at fireworks events around Tayside and Fife this weekend.
A host of community displays took place around Courier country.
They included annual favourites at places like Cupar Golf Club, Anstruther and Elie.
And the Rotary Club of the Angus Glens staged its popular event at Kirriemuir Hill.
Covid comeback
Some displays made a return for the first time after the pandemic.
Those included the one at Edzell Muir, where a huge crowd was delighted to see the village-organised celebration again.
And in Perth, thousands of people were treated to a spectacular display on the South Inch.
Perth Strathearn Round Table staged the event after receiving a common good grant of more than £20,000 this year.
Rotary Clubs, Round Tables and other community groups organised the busy events and they raised money for a range of good causes.
Dundee disappointment
But there were no public displays in Dundee.
The city council previously took the decision to axe the traditional crowd-pullers at Baxter Park and Lochee Park.
A safety study found the parks are no longer suitable to cope with the huge numbers which regularly attended.
And a planned event at the Nine Maidens pub was cancelled in the wake of trouble in the city earlier in the week.
There were violent scenes in Kirkton on Monday as riot police were attacked with fireworks and roads blocked by a “wall of fire” after items were set alight.
Our photographers were out and about at some of the area’s best fireworks events.
